Short version: We collect as little as possible. The website only receives information you choose to send us through the recruiting contact form. The Basketball IQ app stores your progress only on your device. Beginning with version 1.2, the app sends anonymous usage counts (for example, that a session was finished) to Aptabase, a privacy first analytics service that uses no device identifiers and cannot identify you. We never sell or share personal information with anyone.
This policy covers two things: the website txgforce.com and the TXGForce Basketball IQ mobile application. Both are operated by Texas GFORCE, based in Leander, Texas. The website showcases the athletic profile of Garratt Mejia for basketball recruiting purposes, and the app helps players and coaches build game knowledge through spaced repetition flashcards.

The only personal information the website collects is what you choose to submit through the recruiting contact form: your name, email address, role, school or organization, and message. We use this information for one purpose only: responding to your inquiry about recruiting, scouting, or the TXGForce brand. We do not add you to mailing lists, share your information with third parties, or use it for advertising.
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Bluehost) and our security and performance provider (Cloudflare) automatically record standard technical logs when you visit: your IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and keeping the site running. They are governed by the respective privacy policies of Bluehost and Cloudflare.
We may use privacy respecting traffic measurement, including Google Analytics, to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they view. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics using browser settings or Google's opt out tools at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The website embeds video content from Hudl and links to external platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Amazon. When you interact with embedded players or follow those links, those platforms may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for the data practices of those services.
The website itself does not set tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a small number of strictly functional cookies for security purposes. Embedded third party players, such as the Hudl video player, may set their own cookies as described above.
TXGForce Basketball IQ collects no personal information. Specifically, the app does not collect:
Beginning with version 1.2, the app records anonymous product interaction events so we can see which parts of the app get used. Each event names the action (for example, session finished or pack opened) together with the app version, operating system version, and device language. No device identifier, advertising identifier, account, name, or precise location is ever attached, and events cannot be linked to you or to any other event from your device over time. In Apple's App Privacy terms this is Product Interaction data, not linked to you, used for analytics only.
The app does not require you to create an account or sign in to use any feature.
The app saves the following data locally on your device using Apple's AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server:
This data is stored solely to provide the app's core functionality. You can clear it at any time by deleting the app from your device.
TXGForce Basketball IQ uses one analytics service, Aptabase, which is open source and designed to be anonymous: it does not use cookies, device fingerprinting, or long term user identifiers. The app is built using the Expo framework. The production build of the app does not include Expo Go telemetry. For information on Expo's own privacy practices, visit expo.dev/privacy.
The app is free and currently offers no in app purchases. If paid card packs are ever added, purchases would be processed entirely through Apple's App Store, and Texas GFORCE would not receive, store, or process your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs all purchase transactions and can be reviewed at apple.com/legal/privacy.
TXGForce Basketball IQ is suitable for users of all ages, including children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information and requires no account creation, it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect data from any user regardless of age.
Because all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to external servers, the security of your information is governed by your device's own security settings. We recommend using a device passcode or biometric authentication to protect all apps on your device.
Since we do not collect or store your personal data on any server, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. To remove all app data, simply delete TXGForce Basketball IQ from your device. Apple's operating system ensures that all locally stored app data is removed upon uninstallation.
If we update this privacy policy in a material way, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
